We have a display wall at the senior center full of photos. We also have a website at myfamily.com and on Facebook. If you are interested in our websites, email us at coalfieldtn@ymail.com and we will get you set up to view what we have.

I am wanting to paint a picure of this old store. Please contact me by e-mail if anyone has a picture of this store and could make me a copy. I would be so grateful.
Thank you.

A better source of information might be the Coalfield Genealogical and Historical Society; they can be reached at Coalfieldtn@ymail.com . Good luck with your project!

I am in the process of compiling historical information and photos about Coalfield School band. Do you have anything in your collection that would relate to this? Any help would be much appreciated!

We do have a copy available for reference in the library; you are welcome to stop by during library hours and read it. There is a second book, “Coalfield Remembered” which is still in print. You can purchase it from the genealogy society or stop by the library and purchase a copy here. Thanks for your interest!

By: barbara jones trulis https://www.coalfieldlibrary.org/about/genealogy/#comment-6 Thu, 03 Feb 2011 17:23:19 +0000 https://www.coalfieldlibrary.org/#comment-6 I descend through the James B Jones family who moved to Morgan Co around 1820s. My grandfather moved to MO and my father moved us to CA.

Chester Spradlin is my cousin through our grandfathers and he told me about the book Coming Home to Coalfield that the Historical Society published. Is it possible to get a copy of that book? I would be more than happy to pay for the book as well and shipping and handling.

Thank you very much. Sincerely, Barbara Jones Trulis
